Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program

Roseman University of Health Sciences has partnered with NYU Lutheran Dental Medicine to provide an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program.

“The goal of the affiliation with the NYU Lutheran Dental Medicine AEGD residency program is to develop patient-centered clinicians with the ability to provide comprehensive oral health care for a wide patient population,” says Andrew Drollinger, D.D.S., Assistant Professor at Roseman CODM.
NYU Lutheran advanced education programs are fully accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), and its affiliated clinical training sites—including Roseman University—are recognized by CODA as approved clinical training sites.

Dentists in the AEGD program will be able to treat patients at The Dental Clinic at Roseman University who are medically compromised, have complex dental needs, are elderly , have physical and intellectual disabilities and are underserved.

The Dental Clinic at Roseman University has 105 top-of-the-line operatories with access to electronic health records and digital radiology. Dentists who are accepted into Roseman’s AEGD program have access to cutting-edge technology, including a cone beam computed tomography, E4D CAD/CAM, digital impression making, electric handpieces, implantology and monitored sedation.

Currently, the patient population at The Dental Clinic at Roseman University comprises approximately 8,400 comprehensive care patients. On average, each month the school sees 314 new patients and treats about 150 urgent care patients. The average annual number of patient visits is 16,500. The Dental Clinic at Roseman University has been open since 2013 and provides dental services at approximately 50–70% lower than the average cost.
